Office re-opening after COVID-19 closure

by | May 12, 2020

We are really excited to re-open the office on Monday May 18, more than two months since we closed due to COVID-19 pandemic. The office will look a little different and unfortunately will not be quite as cozy.. We are doing everything possible to keep patients and staff safe.⠀

The waiting room will likely be empty as patients will wait in their car if needed. The magazines, photo books and brochures have been removed so there are less sources of potential contamination. We have also had to remove the snacks, coffee and drinks we normally have available as well as the water cooler.⠀

Patients will be screened for symptoms and have their temperature checked when they first enter the office. ⠀

We have installed plexiglass barriers at the reception and check-out desks for additional safety in these areas.⠀

Exam rooms will be disinfected after every patient and other parts of the office will be disinfected frequently. Staff will be washing their hands constantly.⠀

Patients will wear their own mask to their appointment and my staff will be wearing medical grade masks. Additional PPE will be used when performing office procedures, including full face masks for procedures on the lower face which require removal of the patient’s mask.⠀

Unfortunately there is no way to make coming to the office as safe as staying at home. That being said, we are doing everything in our power to keep you as safe as possible when you visit us.⠀

Now – we just need final guidance from Governor Baker that it’s okay to open. I am really excited to get back to work!⠀
