Upper and Lower Blepharoplasty Before and After Photos
Patient 1 - Before and after photos, upper and lower blepharoplasty
Upper and lower blepharoplasty surgery together form a powerful way to reduce the effects of facial aging. These photos show a woman in her mid 50s who underwent upper and lower eyelid surgery. Before surgery the hooding of her upper eyelids and puffiness in her lower eyelids makes her appear older and more tired than she needs to look.
After surgery her eyes are more open revealing her beautiful blue-green eyes. The puffiness in her lower eyelids is gone, making her look less tired.
The full face photos show a dramatic improvement in her overall facial appearance. She looks much younger and less tired but still looks “natural” and doesn’t look over done like many celebrities who have plastic surgery. In addition to her eyelid surgery, filler injections were used to help decrease the shadowing in her smile lines (nasolabial folds).
Patient 2 - Before and after photos, upper and lower blepharoplasty
These photos show a woman in her 60s who underwent upper and lower blepharoplasty.
Discussion: Before surgery, she had a tired appearance due to extra skin on her upper eyelids and excess fatty tissue in her lower eyelids. After surgery, she still looks natural – just less tired and more youthful.
The full face photos show how eyelid surgery alone can make a dramatic improvement in the overall appearance of the entire face. She looks much younger after surgery with eyelid surgery alone, even without a facelift.
Patient 3 - Before and after upper and lower blepharoplasty surgery
These photos show a male patient in his late 40s who underwent upper and lower blepharoplasty surgery. The excess skin on his upper eyelids and puffiness in his lower eyelids makes him look older than his real age and gives him a tired appearance.
Full face photos show that eyelid surgery alone can make a dramatic difference in a person’s overall appearance. Note that the patient looks natural and not overdone. Male patients need more conservative surgery to look natural and to avoid feminizing the face. The patient looks younger and less tired after surgery.
The full face photos show another example of how addressing the eye area alone can make a big difference in overall facial appearance. The patient looks much more youthful after surgery. Fine lines under the eyes can be treated with laser resurfacing if desired.
Patient 4 - Before and after photos, upper and lower blepharoplasty
Discussion: These photos show a woman in her late 50s who underwent upper and lower blepharoplasty surgery. Prior to surgery, there is excess skin on the upper eyelids and extra fat in the lower eyelids. After surgery, the patient has a more youthful, less tired appearance but still looks very natural. Note there is no change in the shape of the lower eyelids. The beauty and prominence of her blue eyes is accentuated by reducing the aging changes around her eyelids.
