Lower eyelid and tear trough photos - Juvederm, Restylane and Perlane
The tear trough is the area of eyelid-cheek junction closest to the nose. Many patients have a harsh line in this location
which leads to an unflattering, tired appearance to the upper face. Smoothing the tear trough with injectable fillers such
as Restylane, Juvederm or Perlane can make a noticeable improvement in a patient's appearance with a minimum of down time.
Patient 1 - Before and after Juvederm injection into tear trough

These photos show a woman in her 30s who didnt like the harsh lines in her tear trough area. She felt that the lines caused
her to appear older than her real age and look as if she didnt get enough sleep. After injection of Juvederm into her tear trough area,
the lines essentially disappear.
Tear trough lines can often extend away from the nose to most of the lower eyelid. This leads to a prominent line
marking the junction between the lower eyelid and cheek. Rejuvenating the lower eyelids with injectable fillers such
as Restylane, Juvederm or Perlane helps create a more youthful look, creating a single contour from the upper portion of the lower eyelid
extending into the cheek.
Patient 2 - Before and after Juvederm injection into lower eyelids, overhead lighting

These photos show a woman in her early 40s who didnt like the appearance of her lower eyelids. Injection of Juvederm along the
inferior orbital rim (the bone below her eye) helps reduce the lines in this area. Flash photography can often minimize
fine lines and wrinkles in the lower eyelid by reducing shadows. These photos were taken with overhead lighting without a camera flash, simulating
real world conditions of indoor overhead lighting or outdoor sunlight.
Patient 2 (same as prior) - Before and after Juvederm injection into lower eyelids, flash photos

These photos show the same woman as in the prior photos using flash photography. The fine lines visible in the overhead
lighting photos are much less prominent overall. Nonetheless, Juvederm injections still result in a considerable improvement
in the appearance of the lower eyelids and eyelid-cheek junction.
