Lip injections can be performed with minimal patient discomfort. Dr. Kapadia prefers using Juvederm Ultra XC as a lip filler. This formulation of Juvederm contains lidocaine which makes the injections much more comfortable. Nerve blocks performed from inside the mouth can be used to enhance anesthesia if needed.

Dr. Kapadia prefers Juvederm to Restylane for lip augmentation. Lip injections with Juvederm create a more natural, less lumpy appearance and feel than Restylane injections in this area.
