Festoons and Under Eye Bags, Before and After Photos
Patient 1 - Before and after upper eyelid blepharoplasty and lower festoon surgery
Discussion: This patient has severe festoons (bags under the eyes). Milder festoons can be treated with lower blepharoplasty and eyelid tightening (canthoplasty). However, when festoons are this severe, the abnormal skin needs to be excised directly. This patient had direct excision of the festoons, lower eyelid tightening and upper blepharoplasty. Note the dramatic improvement in his appearance.

Discussion: The patient looks younger and more rested after surgery. He has a more refreshed appearance but still looks very natural.
